Sockeye Salmon (reds) June, July, August
Each year during June and July this Kenai River two awesome returns of this incredibly hard fighting, best eating salmon. Normal years produce over 750,000 fish, and ocean conal as in 2003 went over 1, 500,000 where recorded returning up river to spawn. They are readily taken on flies and clients that take time from king fishing return with tales of dozens of reds hooked in a single day.
